Although with different purposes, in general, board materials in Montessori education foster the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and problem-solving abilities.

Depending on the board that your child needs, most math boards are good for children 6-12 years old, while touch boards can be used for children as young as 2-3 years old.
