Best For
Once your child is ready to work, you can start introducing simple materials that encourage the development of grasping and the pincer grip, like these simple shape puzzles. GAM Montessori recommends introducing the puzzles gradually, one by one, after each puzzle is mastered. Start with the circle, as it is the easiest to fit in. Then the square and, finally, the triangle, which needs the most manipulation and effort to place in.
Why is this a great Christmas gift?
For a little one aged 9–18 months, this shape puzzle set makes a thoughtful Christmas gift they can explore at their own pace. They can practise grasping and the pincer grip as they fit the circle, then move on to the square and triangle as each puzzle becomes familiar. A lovely present to unwrap and enjoy well beyond Christmas Day.
