Contrast Cards and Ball

Up until 4 months of age, babies see a black-and-white spectrum of colours. Therefore, toys in contrasting colours are recommended at this age. Cards with simple pictures and a soft ball in a contrasting design are ideal toys for tummy time. They stimulate vision, activate the right hemisphere of the brain, improve immediate memory, and motivate children to move, reach out and hold the toy.
Lying on the tummy, lifting the head and then grasping the toy is very important for development. It strengthens the muscles and prepares the little body for the next developmental stages (climbing, sitting and walking).

Carousel Above the Cot
