Not only can you use it but it sweeps better and lasts many times longer than its commercial counterparts. BROOM CHICK sells these brooms to Waldorf and many other alternative schools all over the country. BROOM CHICK believes that children who are in touch with a natural organic tool that has come from the earth are also more in touch with themselves. Many people also like this smaller, lighter broom for small places or their RV’s or camping.

As in all BROOM CHICK’s brooms, the brush fiber is made of only the highest quality 100% broomcorn. The handles are kiln-dried hardwoods from a local sustainable reforestation project right here in Oregon. The raw materials, tools, and techniques used date back hundreds of years. BROOM CHICK does every aspect of the work, from harvesting the raw materials out of nature to the finished piece. A balance between function, décor, and the sacred is BROOM CHICK’s purpose. Each broom and besom comes with a leather tong attached to the handle and BROOM CHICK recommends that you always hang your broom when not using it.
